M.A. in International Business (Winona)

Program Overview

The Master of Arts in International Business (MIB) is an intensive, 16-month (41 credit) program designed to prepare individuals for international business careers. The combination of theoretical and learning experiences provides students with opportunities to develop the skills to be successful in the modern global marketplace.

Program Structure

The MIB has a unique curriculum which has been developed to provide education in all aspects of modern international business management, marketing, finance, and law are considered from an international viewpoint and represent the program's foundation. Special emphasis has been placed in "soft skills" development and practical training experiences. Courses in global religions, cultural awareness, ethics, and entrepreneurship address the need and importance of soft skills in today's business arena.

Program Delivery

Practical training experiences include international field studies, which in the past have taken place in Europe and Asia. In addition, students will visit corporations and complete practicum projects as components of the MIB curriculum. An international student cohort further enhances the MIB global learning experience. MIB graduates include individuals from Angola, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Peru, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, United States, and Venezuela. The chance to study, travel and build friendships with individuals from around the world is an enriching opportunity.
